We made DSport Magazine!

446awhp on our Mustang Dyno is no easy feat, but not long after William Kha received his 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution 9 back from our care, he was immediately back on his quest for more power. We already knew that the cap on the stock 4g63 block was around 500awhp on our Mustang Dyno, so we opted to switch out the 4g63 block for a 4g64 block. With the addition of a 4g63 crank, 6mm longer Manley forged Connecting Rods and a set of JE Pistons, we came up with a de-stroked 2.1L short block that could take all the beating we could give.
Due to the size and limitations of the turbo in the HKS 3037S turbo kit William had, we decided to swap that out for a FFTec 40r Turbo Kit which consist of a Garrett GT4088r Turbo, a FFTec Tubular T4 Manifold, Twin 38mm Tial Wastegates, FFTec 3” o2 housing and a half sized Koyo Radiator. In addition to the FFTec 40r Kit and the new shortblock, William also added a FFTec Sheet Metal Intake Manifold, and a dual HKS Fuel rail set up, William’s car was able to down an amazing 606AWHP on our Mustang Dyno!.
Since her recent makeover, William’s Evo was recently featured in the March Issue of DSport Magazine -- go pick up a copy today!
